Responsibilities

The District Sales Manager will develop, implement and monitor strategic plans for the district in order to achieve sales performance goals. The District Sales Manager will also motivate and manage a contract sales team of Healthcare Liaisons (HCL) through strong leadership skills, professional development and coaching.
 
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
 
  • Meet and/or exceed all revenue and budget expectations
  • Responsible for expense management/profitability and deliver provided goals
  • Integrate strong ethical leadership with strict adherence to all company policies, including code of business conduct and ethics and healthcare compliance
  • Develop and implement business plans, maintain new and innovative ideas, strategies, marketing plans of action and budgetary control
  • Foster a work environment for his/her employees that is free from harassment, including any verbal or physical harassment regarding the racial, ethnic, religious, physical or sexual characteristics or sexual preference of another
  • Effectively plan and conduct required meetings with members of the District
  • Develop HCL s in region through coaching and career development planning
  • Ensure a high level of appropriate oral and written communication among all members of the region
  • Proactively manages the needs of the business and, when necessary, actively responds to directives and implementation of ethical guidelines
  • Projects a professional image
  • Treats others with dignity and respect
  • Ensure that HCL s store all PTS-supplied equipment/records, and promotional material according to prescribed conditions
  • Have a dependable automobile with insurance coverage in compliance with guidelines
  • Maintains a valid driver s license
  • Completes FCRs on all field ride-alongs
  • Able to manage complex assignments in addition to leading the sales effort in the District
Requirements

  • BS/BA degree required, MBA preferred
  • Promotion experience with Opioid, Opioid Addiction, Pain, Hepatitis C and/or HIV products highly preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
  • Compliance training highly desirable
  • REMs experience desirable
  • 2+ years Pharmaceutical / medical / healthcare sales experience required
  • 3-5 years Pharmaceutical / medical / healthcare sales management experience required
  • Demonstrated track record of ability to recruit, retain and develop highest quality staff
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives
  • Strong record of professional ethics and results
