The Chargeback Coordinator is responsible for the general administration of all aspects of the wholesaler chargeback system and contract bid process including group membership administration.The primary object is to facilitate the contract of the many variables (e.g. membership, class of trade, eligibility, price, etc.) related to the wholesaler chargeback/reconciliation phase.This goal includes maximizing profits related to the products included in the contract via accurate and timely administration of the contract through the wholesaler.This position is also critical to resolving all credit dispute issues as they relate to the contract/credit process.


  • Manage the daily processing of chargeback claims through Takeda contract management system. Chargeback claims result in excess of $200 million on an annual basis. Incumbent must ensure the accuracy and validity of reported claims to ensure terms of all chargeback contracts are met.

  • Timely and accurate notification to wholesaler regarding terms of contract to ensure customer receives correct billing.

  • Timely processing of daily claims and resubmitted claims to minimize wholesaler payment deductions.

  • Facilitate the debit/credit reconciliation process with all wholesaler trading partners.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve all credit related disputes pertaining to chargebacks. As needed, provide appropriate documentation to the credit department to assist in the collection of wholesaler deductions.

  • Identify ineligible chargebacks and clearly and concisely communicate chargeback denials to wholesaler trading partners. Communicate in a clear and concise manner Takeda s chargeback policy when submitting final payment/denial to wholesaler.

  • Ensure contract membership eligibility requirements are met per terms of contract. Allowing ineligible members (based on class of trade) to participate in group purchasing contracts could violate fair trade practices and possible violation of Medicaid best price.

  • Interface with field sales force on relevant chargeback and membership issues.


Education and Experience:

  • 3 years business experience


  • Bachelor s degree
  • Experience working in CARS Classic and/or Revitas CARS (Flex)
  • Previous contracting, managed markets, legal or financial experience
