To help meet the growing demand for our diabetes treatment, Novo Nordisk expects to double production of diabetes drugs over the next decade. Novo Nordisk is currently building a new diabetes API plant in Clayton, NC next to our existing facility that employs 800 people. The new plant will initially employ 700 employees to produce the active ingredients for a new diabetes oral treatment and a range of other diabetes drugs.

Position Purpose:
To design, deliver & evaluate training sessions within the Operational Training Standard framework. Create & design training programs in line with business objectives that support ramp up & operational objectives. Communicate data & metrics that inform & support the progress of directors, managers & teams.

Accountabilities:

•Serves as the training expert in assigned area. Partners directly with track director & managers to identify training needs & then work to create the training strategy.
•Works across different areas of the business to align on approaches to training & shares resources.
•Sets priorities of training needs to ensure the business reaches the targets for the year. Reviews training & development records, identifying training needs & gaps.
•Implements training schedules for all employees, establishing review dates & further training in line with the employee’s role.
•Partners with managers to review learning & development interventions for technical competencies, leadership development & personal development.
•Identifies, sources & arranges internal & external training to address competency gaps.
•Conducts and/or coordinates training for partnered area.
•Facilitates workshops.
•Assists as a subject matter expert (SME) in application of established technical training processes.
•Leads or participates in training development workshops locally or globally.
•Presents technical training using a variety of instructional techniques tools & programs aligned with internal & external best practices, while seeking continuous improvement.
•Establishes & drives usage of training tracking & escalation processes in alignment with [click here]
•Monitors & evaluates the effectiveness of training & development delivered.
•Follows all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
•Partners with SOP/JI authors to assess training needs & authors Job Training Plans.
•Supports organization in inspection readiness.
•Other accountabilities as assigned.

Education:
•BA/BS degree or industry equivalent experience within training department. MANDATORY
•MA/MS degree preferred.

Experience:
•1 year of experience in a regulated industry required. GMP regulated manufacturing environment preferred. PREFERRED
•5-7 years of instruction, training development or equivalent experience. MANDATORY
•Knowledge of principles & methods for curriculum & training design, teaching & instruction for individuals & groups & the measurement of training effects. MANDATORY

Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:
•Ability to read, write & understand complicated product, equipment & OEM documentation & standard operating procedures with great attention to detail. MANDATORY
•Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel. MANDATORY
•Experience with ISOtrain. DESIRED

Organization/Planning: DESIRED
•Able to organize, coordinate & track multiple tasks & events & to work in an orderly & methodical manner.
•Able to design, format & generate intelligible, accurate & timely reports.
•Able to effectively prioritize assignments & responsibilities. Able to visually depict information & data to support & facilitate decision-making.

Physical & Other Requirements:
•Ability to work in & around an active construction site.
•Able to work with hazardous materials & chemicals.
•Corrected vision to 20/30.
•Able to lift 25 lbs. with assistance.
•Able to work extended hours to support manufacturing operations.
•Able to move throughout the facility to interact with other employees in the normal office & manufacturing environment.
•Able to travel internationally occasionally.
