To help meet the growing demand for our diabetes treatment, Novo Nordisk expects to double production of diabetes drugs over the next decade. Novo Nordisk is currently building a new diabetes API plant in Clayton, NC next to our existing facility that employs 800 people. The new plant will initially employ 700 employees to produce the active ingredients for a new diabetes oral treatment and a range of other diabetes drugs.

Here you will work with the best manufacturing professionals in the industry, while learning and taking part in the plant design.
Support building of new organization that will manufacture first active pharmaceutical ingredients for Novo Nordisk produced in USA. Position will strive to design organization, attract talent, train & develop leaders & define processes & standards. Direct the People & Organization team to provide strategic & tactical Human Resources services & solutions to support business in the employee life cycle. Identify facilitate, support & coach leadership team.
Set Human Resources strategy for the success of the project & site.
Develop organization & capabilities needed
Develop & implement programs to continuously improve the employee life cycle: attraction, deployment, development, performance, rewards, & exit.
Drive internal & external communications. Provide expert advice & counsel to site management for P&O processes.
Establish & continuously improve programs, practices, policies which serve the needs of the business, the needs of employees, Serve as a company spokesperson & representative to external
Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Other accountabilities as assigned.
MA/MS in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education & experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of broad human resources management experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Requires minimum of 5 years of direct management experience.
Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge: MANDATORY
Excellent working knowledge of all functional areas within Human Resources, including training in regulated environments & relevant employment law at the federal, state & local level, including Affirmative Action requirements. Outstanding written, verbal & public speaking skills. Demonstrated excellence in coaching, facilitation & communication.
Outstanding organization & planning skills & development of meaningful objectives & action plans to support stakeholders.
Project Management: PREFERRED
Proven ability to lead organizational change from project to operational readiness. Experience with transforming cultures through change management & organizational development.
Physical & Other Requirements:
•Normal office environment & ability to move throughout the facility to interact with employees in their work areas.
•Requires flexibility to work whatever hours are required for execution of duties of a 24/7 operation, including nights & weekends.
•Overseas & domestic travel required.
